The question is not whether or not God leads. The question is whether or not we acknowledge Him in all our ways so that He can direct our paths. Proverbs 3:6 God leads. Some people refuse to acknowledge Him. He turns those who refuse to acknowledge Him over to their own reprobate minds. Romans 1:18, 21, 24, 26, 28. God does guide. In fact, this is the very way that hope and faith come. He gives a vision of hope. He shows you the you that you are destined to be in Christ. He shows you the Christ in you, the real you. He shows you what is and is not the Body of Christ. He shows you how you fit in that Body. Then, He gives you His faith (supernatural trust) that only comes when you hear His utterance. And, it is faith that gives you access to His grace and His grace that does His works though you (following His guiding Light). Psalm 23:1-3 THE EXISTENT ONE  is my shepherd; I shall not decrease.  He makes me lie down in green pastures: He leads me beside the still waters.  He restores my soul: He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His Name's sake. This doesn't mean that each time that we do every routine task we stop and kneel and pray to ask God how to do each step. As with prophecy, where we yield ourselves to God and He forms the words in our mouth, God is in the routine when we are in submission to Him. When we speak by the Spirit, we yield ourselves to His Spirit, and He speaks through us. Sometimes this revelation surprises us. Sometimes, He brings things to our memory, just as He said that the Holy Spirit would. However, He is not just involved in church services. The Scripture tells us to do ALL things in His Name. To do anything in His Name means that He is the One Who is doing whatever you are doing. You are in submission to Him. He is thinking the thought, saying the word, or doing the work. It is an attitude of submission to the King of kings, constantly standing in His Presence. There are deeper depths and higher heights for those who are called to enter into them. Eventually, He will be All in all. Going deeper, how do you know it's God leading you and not your own mind? God says that the human mind is deceitful and desparately wicked to the point that you cannot know it. Scientific experimentation and observation confirms this (another way that God reveals). So how can you tell if you are really hearing from God? The question has a presupposition in it that has to be unpacked and examined. If we ask, "How can you tell?" we are presupposing that it's up to you. The fact is that it is not based on you and your mental ability. It is up to God to reveal. Your part is to continue to seek Him and to walk in humility. In humility, you never say that you know anything as you ought to know it. You are always waiting for the Holy Spirit to correct you. Sometimes, your natural mind will fool you and take you off course, but the Great Shepherd will bring you back if you remain a sheep and don't turn into a goat. The promise is that whoever seeks Him finds Him. How Can I Know God's Will And Be Led By The Spirit Of God?
